Lysaght FAQ

Lysaght Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I book the room but bring my own catering?

Lysaght is run as Social Enterprise, providing employment and training to local people, of which the onsite catering is a key element. Therefore, all catering requirements need to be provided by the onsite team.

  • What is a Social Enterprise?

A Social Enterprise is a business with primarily social objectives whose surpluses are principally reinvested for that purpose in the business or in the community, rather than being driven by the need to maximise profit for shareholders and owners. Every Social Enterprise has a Social Mission.

  • What is Lysaght’s Social Mission?

The social mission of Lysaght is to be a community hub and a centre for social enterprise development, and to provide community beneficial activities at an affordable level supported by the generation of income from commercial and private activities.
